Between Us: Variance Invariance Project
Judy Rushin's Between Us: Variance Invariance Project treated paintings as things in motion rather than inert artifacts. With a focus on the vernacular of quick, provisional construction, the works were assembled, dismantled, and shipped in small boxes — collaborative objects that moved between people and places rather than sitting static on a wall.
The exhibition ran from May 16 through June 21, 2014 at Flashpoint Gallery, with an opening reception on Friday, May 16 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Admission was free and open to the public.
