Color Me Collaborative
An interactive installation by YoungPayne & The Kidz Table at Pleasant Plains Workshop, featuring coloring-page portraits of figures from the DC arts community.
About the Exhibition
YoungPayne & The Kidz Table transformed Pleasant Plains Workshop into an interactive coloring-book environment. Visitors encountered large-scale coloring-page portraits of recognizable DC arts community figures, invited to pick up crayons and add their own mark to the collaborative installation. The project blurred the line between artist and audience, turning the gallery into a shared creative space where everyone contributed to the evolving artwork.
The exhibition ran from May 16 through June 14, 2014, with an opening reception on Friday, May 16 from 6 to 9 PM. Admission was free and open to the public throughout the run.
