Washington, DC – On December 2, 2016 musician Kellyn Marie Goler and fortysevenpieces artist Drew Feith Tye present "Home Out Here," a joint musical and visual experience at Beyond Studios (1240 9th St NW #200) from 6:30-8:30 PM. Drew Feith Tye will present fourteen of her works inspired by her visual interpretations of Kellyn Marie Goler’s music, who will perform at 7:30. The exhibition is open to the public and creative cocktail attire is suggested. This is an exclusive one-night event -- all fortysevenpieces original art, Kellyn’s debut album, and merchandise will be available for purchase.

Kellyn Marie Goler's music centers around the search for being at home within oneself. Her debut album Echolocation is an honest account of being out as a queer woman of color and the universal feelings of struggling to find love in a world that is at times delightful and dismal. Her forthcoming EP, Heights, is an artist's reckoning with self-doubt and the search for her voice. The resulting songs are sweet and cathartic, reminding listeners that they're not alone, never alone.

Originally from Philadelphia, DC-based artist Drew Feith Tyeuses paint and canvas to portray the transformative effect of being in nature and the sense of being simultaneously home and away. Her latest collection was inspired by nights at her Shaw art studio listening to Kellyn's first album. Dabs and sweeps of acrylic paints blend together as waterfalls, pastures, and skies, reminding viewers of the their place and space in open, resplendent terrain.

Beyond Studios is a private use professional photography studio and exhibition space location in downtown Washington, DC’s Blagden Alley.
