25+ Local Artists, from Painters and Photographers to Woodworkers and Potters, will be featured during this DC Art Extravaganza

As you know from our recent posts... Our partners at SwatchRoom, the new Shaw-based creative design and fabrication studio, will host its first annual three-day SwatchRoom Salon Party March 7th through March 9th. Curated by ArtSee, an art event services agency, and hosted by Hierarchy, the newest event space by DC’s No Kings Collective, the celebration will showcase more than 35 local artists during three distinct events. The Salon Party will be accessible to all levels of art enthusiast, beginning with a showcase of affordable work from emerging artists and culminating in a private event featuring new collections from some of DC’s most sought-after artists.

FRIDAY, March 7th: Introducing DC’s Best Emerging Artists

To kickoff the Salon Party, a grouping of DC’s greatest emerging artists will be featured on Friday night. Each artist will display their latest work across all mediums: painting, photography, printmaking and more.

Tabula Rasa Presents "Fall Flight"

On Tuesday, September 24th at 6pm, Tabula Rasa, an event space and meeting place, at 731 8th street SE, will kick off the fall season with “Fall Flight”, featuring the vibrant works of Jeremy Flick, a flight of four choice wines from local wine consultant Bon Vivant and beats from a locally-based DJ.

 A highly coveted DC-area artist, Director of Connersmith Gallery and Fair Coordinator for (e)merge Art Fair, Jeremy is known for his complex works of geometric abstraction which take direct inspiration from computerized pixels. He uses this unique inspiration to produce intricate patterns and create visually complex paintings, drawings, and installations.

In concert with Jeremy’s works, Alison Marriott (@DistrictWino), founder of Bon Vivant Wine Consulting, will be creating a unique, handpicked flight of wines just for the event.  Bon Vivant offers custom tailored events to achieve your wine tasting and education needs and is headed by southern transplant and wine aficionado Alison Marriott.

Bon Vivant: Bon Vivant DC offers custom tailored events to achieve your wine tasting and education needs.  Alison is certified by the Wine and Spirits Education Trust.

Jeremy Flick: Jeremy, a DC-area artist is known for his complex works of geometric abstraction, which employ repetitive forms, intricate patterns, meticulous details, and purposeful deficiencies to create visually complex paintings, drawings, and installations. His conceptual works maintain a formal approach, characterized by the collection, transformation, manipulation, and fragmentation of found patterns. Flick received his BFA from the University of Cincinnati and his MFA from the University of Maryland (College Park, MD). In addition to being included in numerous private and academic collections, Jeremy has exhibited extensively with works recently shown at Arlington Arts Center (Arlington, VA), (e)merge art fair (Washington, DC), Connersmith (Washington, DC), Runnels Art Gallery (Portales, NM), and Museum Gallery/Gallery Museum (Cincinnati, OH), among others. - 1
